A rich garnet colour, this cab sauv boasts cassis, plum, vanilla and oak aromas on the nose, leading to dark cherry, pepper, and well-integrated oak tones on the palate. A dry, medium-plus bodied red wine that’ll age well for five to seven years.
The 2019 season started with a cool, wet spring that put the vintage behind. Summer was marked by several heat waves that brought high humidity and some disease pressure in the vineyard. Fall was cool with some rain and cold snaps to begin the harvest season. It takes considerable effort to grow and ripen cabernet sauvignon successfully in many vintages, but the effort is rewarded with excellent results.
