This pale, straw-yellow wine is crafted from 100% Ontario grapes. It was fermented and aged in old, neutral oak barrels, aiding the balance, texture and complexity — rather than for flavouring. It’s dry, with notes of citrus, floral and honey and will continue to evolve as it ages.
The riesling grapes for this wine were sourced from a prime vineyard in the Niagara Peninsula, Ontario. The 2019 vintage was cooler and wetter than normal, but a sunny late summer and fall paved the way for a successful harvest. This riesling has the stuffing to age, and will continue to evolve and showcase different aromas, flavours and complexity for five years or so.
